El Paso has a wonderful children’s museum and a top rated zoo just waiting for you and your family to explore. Here is a look at the El Paso Exploreum and the El Paso Zoo.

El Paso Exploreum

The El Paso Exploreum is a hand’s on children’s museum that has numerous areas to explore, featuring over 60 exhibits for kids of all ages. Some of the museums highlights include a role play room, an airport adventure area and an area that offers hands on science and technology exhibits. The museum is located in the heart of the downtown area and is open every day except Monday. Admission is just $8.00 per person ages 3-61 with kids under 2 getting in for free. Seniors, educators and active military personal get in for a discounted price of $6.00.

El Paso Zoo

The El Paso Zoo houses over 220 species of animals on 35 acres of greenery. Exhibits feature animals from all over the world. Some of the top rated exhibits include animals from Africa and Asia like zebras, giraffes, leopards, tigers and gazelles. The zoo also offers a train ride with animal views, a water play area, a carousal and a tree house play ground. The zoo is open year round, 7 days a week except for Thanksgiving day, Christmas day and New Year’s day. Kids under 3 get free admittance while ticket prices for ages 3-12 is $7.50, ages 13-59 is $12.00 and age 60+ is $9.00. Active military members also receive a discount.
