When you’re shopping for a new vehicle, one of the things that you will want to take a look at is the upholstery. To some people the type of upholstery is no big deal, and to others it might make all the difference. Our Kia dealer in El Paso helps you decide on leather or cloth upholstery. There are benefits and drawbacks to both.
Leather Upholstery
For starters, leather is the more expensive option. If you’re at all concerned about cutting corners and saving a few bucks, then leather might not be for you. Leather obviously smells better, though, and it is classier looking. It is easier to clean, too. In most cases you can just easily wipe away dirt and spills, but if you want to keep it looking nice you have to maintain it, which can be a bit of a hassle. A drawback of leather is that it is not the most comfortable. It tends to get very hot in the summer months, and very cold in the winter months.
Cloth Upholstery
Cloth is popular because it is affordable. Another reason why it is popular is because it is comfortable. No matter what the weather or the temperature is outside, cloth upholstery is generally comfortable no matter what. You won’t stick to it or slide around on it. The drawbacks of cloth are that it looks cheap and it is harder to clean. If something spills on your cloth seats it can be difficult to wipe off, and it may very well leave a stain.
