Last year’s model only included a single engine option, however, the 2020 KIA Forte includes both a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft worth of torque and a 147 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that earns an incredible 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.
With the addition of a more robust engine, the 2020 KIA Forte trim lineup is changing as well, bringing the total number to five, including the FE, LXS, GT-Line, EX, and GT. Technology is taking a step forward too in this powerful sedan, adding features like wireless phone charging and a suite of active safety features.

Introducing the 2020 Kia Optima
Here at Casa Kia, August is one of our favorite times of year because the new versions of all our favorite Kia models begin to hit our lot. One of the vehicles that we’re most excited about this year is the 2020 Kia Optima. We’re looking to receive this efficient, stylish, and feature-filled sedan soon, but we’ve had the chance to get some inside information first. Here’s what you have to look forward to with this new Kia Model.
The biggest change coming to the 2020 Kia Optima is the addition of a Plug-In Hybrid version. The optional EV mode lets you go fully electric for short trips. Meanwhile, you can charge up while you slow down with regenerative braking that uses the kinetic energy of deceleration to charge the electric motor’s battery. The high-density lithium polymer battery is compactly packaged in the trunk floor to make optimal use of your cargo space, while the Gasoline Direct Injection engine has also been designed to help enhance fuel economy.
Moving on to the interior, the 2020 Kia Optima will have a driver-oriented design, with plenty of amenities for front-seat and rear-seat passengers. A standard Integrated Memory System for the driver’s seat and mirror positions remembers your personal settings, while the standard auto-dimming rearview mirror and Thin-Film Transistor information screen within the gauge cluster help provide information about your journey. Additional high-tech standard features include Push-Button start, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. Finally, stay connected with the Uvo® link system, which keeps your smartphone charged while you’re on the go.
