There is a story about a hidden waterfall in a cave in the Franklins. According to some, that is where you will find a hidden gold mine. However, accessing the gold mine is impossible because the ghosts of the Jumano Indians.
- Ghost in El Paso High
El Paso High’s scary claim to fame is a number of ghosts. Don’t visit the fourth floor, because that is where the most famous ghost is said to roam. The legend says a cheerleader took her own life and jumped off the balcony at the end of the haunted hallway. If you are alone in the auditorium, you will hear ghosts flipping the seats, and the football field is where you can see the ghost of a player who lost his life on the field.

If you hike near Transmountain Rd or drive on it at night, there is a good chance you will see a traveling monk and his donkey on an eternal journey through the hills.
